Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin can look flushed, feel hot or sting when you try a new cleanser, or react to fragrance-heavy “natural” formulas. Sensitivity is not always a fixed skin type — skin can become more reactive after over-exfoliating, during pregnancy, or after a stretch of harsh weather. Wyuna Botanicals formulates nut-free vegan skincare with sensitive and allergy-prone skin in mind, using Australian botanicals and a short, readable ingredient list.

What usually unsettles sensitive skin

Common cosmetic triggers include strong essential-oil loads, nut oils, drying foaming washes, and too many acids at once. A calmer routine typically means: cleanse gently, skip daily physical scrubs, and moisturise while skin is still slightly damp. Patch testing is not optional if your skin is easily irritated — apply a small amount to the jaw or inner arm and wait before using it all over the face.

Wyuna products are free from nuts, gluten, dairy and soy, and they do not use synthetic fragrance. Small amounts of essential oil appear in some formulas for scent; if you are fragrance-avoidant, read the INCI on each product page and start with the smallest size you can, such as the Discovery Kit.

A low-fuss sensitive-skin ritual

  1. Cleanse once, in the evening. Wild'n'Minty Cleansing Balm melts away makeup and SPF, then rinses to a milky finish. Morning cleansing can be a lukewarm water rinse if your skin prefers it.
  2. Moisturise. Golden Gem Face Cream is dermatologically tested and written as suitable for sensitive, eczema- and allergy-prone skin. It is a cosmetic moisturiser — it hydrates and supports the look of an even, comfortable complexion.
  3. Optional mist. If you want a third step, The Hydrating Collection includes Misty Mushroom Face Spritz with the balm and cream.

If you want the two core products together, choose Dry Skin Essentials. It is often the simplest way to start without building a ten-step shelf.

Australian, vegan, nut-free

Wyuna is Australian made and owned. Formulas are developed with a naturopath and cosmetic chemist, and they are certified vegan and PETA cruelty-free. Nut-free is a core brand difference versus many botanical creams that rely on almond, macadamia or argan oil. That does not make a product hypoallergenic for every person. Always read the full ingredient list, including essential oils such as peppermint, neroli or bergamot that appear in Golden Gem and citrus-mint notes in Wild'n'Minty.

Tools: keep them soft

If you like a cloth or sponge, choose a gentle option and use it only a few times a week. Pair a soft Wyuna Face Cloth with the cleansing balm rather than a grainy scrub. Stop if you see redness that was not there before.

What we will not claim

We will not say a cream “cures” sensitivity, “repairs a damaged barrier” as a medical result, or replaces a prescription. Comfort, softness and a calmer look are the cosmetic goals. If you have a rash, infection or sudden swelling, seek care rather than adding more products.

If dryness is the main feeling, see dull & dry skin. If your skin is also eczema-prone, read skincare for eczema-prone skin — and remember the suitable-for language there. Shop the full range on shop all, or go straight to Golden Gem, Wild'n'Minty, Dry Skin Essentials and The Hydrating Collection.

Building tolerance, slowly

If you have not used Wyuna before, start with one product for a week. Many people begin with Golden Gem at night only, then add the balm when the cream feels comfortable. The Discovery Kit is useful here because the minis last a couple of weeks and you can stop a single product without wasting a full size. Keep a note of anything that stings — peppermint or citrus notes bother a minority of sensitive noses and cheeks, even when a formula is otherwise gentle.

Wash tools in mild soap, let cloths dry fully, and avoid sharing face cloths when skin is reactive. Change pillowcases often. These are ordinary hygiene habits, not medical treatment, and they reduce the chance that a perfectly reasonable cream is blamed for residue left on fabric.

Patch test first. For external use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Not a treatment for any medical condition.
