Combination Skin

Combination skin is the familiar split: an oilier T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and drier, sometimes flaky cheeks. One product that feels perfect on the nose can sit heavy on the cheek, and a rich cream that comforts the cheek can look shiny on the forehead. A nut-free vegan routine with a light hand — one gentle cleanse, then cream where you need it — is usually more comfortable than buying separate “oily” and “dry” lines.

One cleanse, two moisturising amounts

Wild'n'Minty Cleansing Balm works as a single evening cleanse for the whole face. It removes makeup and SPF, then rinses milky. You do not need a foaming wash on the T-zone afterwards unless you enjoy it and your skin stays comfortable.

Then apply Golden Gem Face Cream in a thin layer through the centre of the face and a slightly more generous layer on the cheeks and any tight patches. That is simpler than layering two different moisturisers. Golden Gem is a medium-weight cream suitable for sensitive skin; it is not a medical barrier treatment.

When to choose a set

Dry Skin Essentials (balm + cream) is a good default if your cheeks feel dry more days than not. The Hydrating Collection adds Misty Mushroom Face Spritz — useful if the T-zone likes a mist at lunch while the cheeks still want cream at night. The Discovery Kit is the travel-size way to test the textures before you commit to full sizes.

Weekly extras, not daily extras

A soft cloth or konjac sponge once or twice a week can help the look of smoothness on the nose and chin. Daily scrubbing the T-zone often leaves cheeks red. Keep tools clean and replace sponges as directed on the product page.

Nut-free, vegan, Australian

Wyuna Botanicals is Australian made, certified vegan, PETA cruelty-free and formulated without nuts — a practical difference if you want botanical skincare in an allergy-aware home. Essential oils for scent still appear in some formulas, so combination skin that is also sensitive should patch test. Read each INCI list. We do not claim to “rebalance sebum” as a clinical outcome. Comfortable cheeks and a less patchy look are the cosmetic aims.

Seasonal shifts

Many people are more combination in summer and drier in winter. You can keep the same two products and only change how much cream you use. If winter tightness dominates, read dull & dry skin. If the T-zone is the whole story, see oily skin. If redness and sting show up, use the sensitive skin guide and slow down on extras.

Makeup, SPF and the T-zone

Combination skin often wears sunscreen and base on the T-zone that must come off at night without leaving cheeks tight. That is the job of the balm. In the morning, a rinse plus a thin film of Golden Gem on the cheeks only can be enough. If the nose looks shiny by lunch, blot; adding another powder-dry product at 11am is optional and not required for the Wyuna ritual to make sense.

Travel and hotel air often swing combination skin toward dry. Pack the Discovery Kit or keep Dry Skin Essentials in a tote so you are not buying a foaming hotel cleanser. For allergy-aware families, nut-free formulas mean you are not adding almond or macadamia oil to a shared bathroom shelf. That is a household convenience as much as a skin preference.

Cosmetic products only. Patch test. Adjust amounts by zone rather than adding more actives at once.
