Hi Rebecca. We love Pilates, Barre and Yoga. What inspired you to become a teacher of these practices?

I was a dancer from a very early age (6 years), so by the time I got to my late teens and was auditioning for full time ballet school in New Zealand, I needed the extra help with improving my posture and becoming strong enough to endure the long days and grueling schedule of dancing for 8 hours a day. I started Pilates and Yoga at 17 and started teaching at 26 after a career as a dancer.

What's your favourite yoga pose and why?

Such a tough question! My everyday pose is a rag doll or passive forward fold. A downward facing dog comes into all my movement practices as well. Warrior 2 into an extended side angle when I want to feel strong and centered.

Now that you’ve tried our skincare, what do you enjoy most about our products?

They are so divine. I’m in love with the cleansing balm. The whole ritual is beautiful, I love a skin care ritual. The combination of the products in The Hydrating Collection feels so invigorating and my skin feels like silk after applying them.

What makes a good day for you? How do you like to start and end your day?

A good day is waking up between 5-5:30am. Warm water and lemon, followed by meditation, coffee and journaling, then a 30-40 minute workout before my son gets up. The whole morning routine is crucial for me to feel at my best. The rest of the day just flows from there. If I get to spend quality time with my work friends, teaching and/or filming classes, that’s a good work day. A day spent in the sunshine with my little boy on the weekend, followed by a chilled evening with friends or alone tops it off.

What does your beauty routine look like?

I love a simple routine. Double cleanse with a cleansing balm, followed by a gentle creamy cleanser in the evening, Moisturiser with facial massage, red light wand, then a retinol or retinol alternative, followed by a really good sleep :)

What do you recommend to reduce stress and body tension?

Movement and stillness. Meditation when you are sleepy still, followed by exercise as soon as possible in the morning. Nature and walks in nature. Journal it out and gratitude every day for what you have.
